Abigail Marie Clancy, born 10 January, 1986, is an English model of lingerie as well as catwalk model. In 2006 she finished second in the winner of Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) and in 2013, she was the winner of the series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing. The presenter of Britain's Next Top Model presenter since the year 2015. Clancy was the youngest of the four kids born to Karen (nee Sullivan), and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was born in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and was a student at St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy formed the girl group Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was among thirteen finalist for the Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model's second season in the year 2006. The contest lasted for 10 weeks to win an opportunity to model. Clancy was joined by Lianna Fowler for the finale runway show, and was the winner. Clancy was included in Britain's Next Top Model and has since been modelled by a variety of publications and newspapers. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike for Arena magazine's cover in May 2007, was photographed by Clancy. Clancy was chosen to be included in the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated 2010. Clancy was selected due to her closeness to Peter Crouch. She was photographed by Yu Tsai in only body paint, which made it appear like she was sporting the England shirt. Clancy was wearing an England shirt during Umbro's campaign in 2010 and also other girlfriends and wives of players from winning nations. Clancy was a model in Giles Deacon's ready-to-wear Giles Spring 2011 line. In March of 2011, Clancy was featured on Elite Model Management: New York division's website. She was a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign for July 2013. The editorial was shot created by Absynth Photographyic. The fashion film was directed by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured in August's UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy together with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was included in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy was also featured on British Marie Claire's July 2014 cover as well as British Elle's March 2015 cover. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch her daughter, also known as Sophia Crouch worked together with Lipsy (a London-based fashion label) to launch the AW'19 collection. The AW'19 collection was officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
